The Energy Council — a volunteer advisory body that supports the implementation of the Hood River County Energy Plan — is accepting applications for at-large council members. Applications must be received by November 15, 2023. 

Hood River County Energy Council Member Applications

  • The Energy Council is looking for applicants who are committed to helping our community reach its clean energy goals.
  • The Energy Council is seeking members who will represent all Hood River County residents. We are looking to bring a diversity of perspectives to the council.
  • The Energy Council is interested in new members who represent the following industries: energy, transportation, buildings, agriculture, land use, finance, grant writing, and related industries. Applicants with experience in other fields are also encouraged to apply.
  • To be eligible, applicants must live in one of the following counties: Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, Klickitat, or Skamania.

New members will serve a two-year term beginning in January 2024. The Energy Council meets quarterly on Thursday afternoons, and subcommittees meet during off-months for the full council. Meeting time and frequency are subject to change.
